Status and suggestions for biosafety standards in China

From the five aspects of biosafety laboratory construction, prevention and control of infectious disease, biological invasions, management of human genetic resources and construction of big data, presents the general situation of biosafety standards in China, and analyses the existing problems. Combined with the spirit of the Biosafety law of the People’s Republic of China (Draft), proposes several suggestions for biosafety standards, such as establishing a biosafety standardization technical committee, improving a sound biosafety standard system, and strengthening the advocating and implementation of biosafety standards.
